Row To Podium - Various Dates

Row to Podium is Canada‚Äôs official talent identification and development program for rowing. Our goal is to mold new athletes into future Olympic and Paralympic Champions. Row to Podium was designed specifically to find tall, young and fit athletes with no experience in rowing.

As part of this program, the WIFC has been selected to host our monthly training camps where targeted athletes are gathered from across Ontario, as well as athletes from Manitoba, Quebec and the Maritimes to be assessed and monitored as they continue along the High Performance pathway, with the goal of representing Canada on the international stage.  The WIFC provides the ideal training venue for our camps with its flat, long-distance waterway and brand new training venue, including the rowing tank, on the North Course.  ROWONTARIO and Rowing Canada Aviron are very happy with our continuing partnership with the WIFC enabling us to provide a top quality venue to train and assess our future Olympians.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

  • The 2013 Junior and U23 champs was the most wonderful experience for us in South Africa. Although our kayak community is relatively small, we are an intense group of loyal supporters. Following the build-up on your website as well as your Facebook and the photos on WIFC Facebook page was the highlight of my day. Not only mine but many of us shared links from early morning. Thanks for the effort and a huge congratulations on your achievement. The live streaming gave many of us goose bumps and the occasional lump in the throat. I checked many comments by parents all over the globe, don`t worry, we are all the same, from Japan, Canada, Africa. Thanks for sharing the wonderful experience. Today I could watch my son`s semi-final on Youtube, tonight we will watch it again and every day I will check Youtube for new uploads.
