South Niagara Rowing Club High School Invitational - May 17 & 18

This amazing regatta is celebrating 28 years of competition and takes places on the South Course of the Welland International Flatwater Centre; it is one of the largest high school regattas in Ontario with approximately 60 clubs competing annually and 1200 athletes.  Hosted by the South Niagara Rowing, athletes compete in full 2,000m races while being cheered on by upwards of 800 spectators. 

In 2014, there are over 500 entries for this regatta, attracting people from across Canada as well as clubs visiting from the United States.  This event is considered the ideal warm up for the Canadian Secondary School Rowing Association Championship Races.

Lieutenant Governor of Ontario to Present Gold Medals at the 2015 World Dragon Boat Racing Championships

The Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, the Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell, will be in attendance in the afternoon of Saturday, August 22 , at the Welland International Flatwater Centre North Course for the 2015 World Dragon Boat Racing Championships. Her Honour will present gold medals to members of the winning team.
