Niagara Standup Paddle Sprint - August 23 & 24

Paddle Niagara is pleased to launch its inaugural 1,000 metre sprint as a part of the 2014 Niagara Summer Games. The event will be open to competitive and recreational participants on the WIFC course. 50-100 athletes are expected in the first year and Paddle Niagara hopes to contribute to the positive growth of the sport by developing competition within the region.Many great prizes will be available to be won by participants and part of the weekend will feature opportunities for the general public to try stand up paddle boarding for free.

Lieutenant Governor of Ontario to Present Gold Medals at the 2015 World Dragon Boat Racing Championships

The Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, the Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell, will be in attendance in the afternoon of Saturday, August 22 , at the Welland International Flatwater Centre North Course for the 2015 World Dragon Boat Racing Championships. Her Honour will present gold medals to members of the winning team.
