Banana Belt Rowing Tour

May 4th 

Marking the first tour of their season, the Banana Belt held on Welland’s Waterway consists of a leisurely row - approximately 15 km - followed by a social at a local dining establishment and attracts more than 30 individuals every year.  Since 1971, rowers of all nationalities, ages and abilities have toured lakes, rivers, canals and seas around the world. Participants must be a competent rowers and be able to row with both sweep and scull oars. Tour rowing is typically done in larger boats as part of a group.

Lieutenant Governor of Ontario to Present Gold Medals at the 2015 World Dragon Boat Racing Championships

The Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, the Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell, will be in attendance in the afternoon of Saturday, August 22 , at the Welland International Flatwater Centre North Course for the 2015 World Dragon Boat Racing Championships. Her Honour will present gold medals to members of the winning team.
